Turn on activity tracking and decide what gets collected before installing the Desktop Agent.
What this does
Turns on activity tracking for your workspace and controls exactly what is collected — applications, websites, idle time, and keyboard/mouse counts are each a separate opt-in.
Who can do this
Tenant admins and owners with productivity/activity settings access.
Before you start
Activity tracking is off by default for every new workspace — nothing is collected until you explicitly enable it here.
Steps
Go to Settings > Activity & Privacy.
Turn tracking on.
Choose which signals to collect: applications, websites, idle time, keyboard counts, mouse counts (counts only — never actual keystrokes or characters).
Set employee self-visibility (whether employees can see their own activity data, and how much).
Save.
What happens next
Once enabled, the Desktop Agent and browser extension can start sending activity to your workspace as people install and enroll them.
Important notes
Turning off a specific signal (e.g. applications) causes new activity of that kind to be silently dropped at the server — it is a real, enforced setting, not just a display toggle.
Keyboard and mouse tracking only ever records counts, never actual key presses or characters.
