Decide who can see and do what before you invite a large team.

What this does

Lets you review the default roles and, if needed, create a custom role with a different set of permissions.

Who can do this

Tenant owners only — editing roles and permissions is an owner-only action in Staffintra, not delegable to a plain admin.

Steps

  1. Go to Access > Roles.

  2. Review the built-in roles (Tenant Admin, Tenant User) and any business-role templates relevant to your industry.

  3. Click "Manage roles" to open the role editor.

  4. Create a custom role if the built-in roles don't match how your organization is structured, adding or removing individual permissions.

  5. Assign the role to specific users from the role's detail view.

What happens next

Permission changes apply the moment you save — anyone assigned that role sees the updated access on their next page load.

Important notes

  • Owners always see and can do everything, regardless of role configuration — this cannot be restricted.

  • A custom role can be based on an existing role (Tenant Admin or Tenant User) and then have specific permissions added or removed on top.
